Welcome! I am AJ Johnson, the photographer.  I am pleased that you stopped by to visit Carlisle Photography.  I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and consider myself a yankee.  I have been married to the same woman for 19 years and we have 3 children.  We have lived in Georgia now for over 14 years and are grateful to the Lord God for His keeping power. I have been taking pictures since the age of 17.  I began in England when one day I picked up one of my dad's cameras, a '67 Miranda Sensorex SLR.  My dad valued nice things, including his cameras!  Well, he went off on me demanding that I never touch his camera equipment.  I was really surprised by his outburst, but just as he demanded, I put his camera down and I left his office and went to my room. Later that night, feeling remorseful and upset with himself, he came to my room and told me that he apologized for his reaction and that it was just equipment.  That night he surprised me again by telling me that I could have all his photo equipment.  I gathered up all the photography equipment I could find over the next few days and that was the beginning of my passion and love for the craft.   In addition to being a photographer, husband, father, I am also a preacher at Word in Season Ministries.  Because of my commitment to my faith and call to the preach the Kingdom of God and gospel of Jesus Christ, I  have standards that I will not compromise.  I will not take provocative, racy, or demeaning photos.  All photos of my models will be taken in good taste and clothed appropriately.  These are standards that I will not sacrifice for anyone or any amount of money.   I hope you enjoy your time on this site and the next time you're in need of a quality photographer with standards and morals, you'll call on Carlisle Photography.
